I have never felt compeled to do this before, but I really must congratulate you once again on your excellent service.  My new Ibanez S470 arrived this morning well packaged and perfectly set up.  The thing was even in tune!!  I have used your internet service quite a bit now over the past couple of years [everything from a Tascam CD-GT1 to a Marshall AVT 275] and have always found your standards to be impeccable.  I know you are just doing your jobs, but I wanted you to know that it's really appreciated.

I am writing this email just to say thank you for the fantastic service you've shown me that you're capable of yet again. This is only the second item I've bought from you, the first being a Zoom Multitrack, but I find your staff courteous and helpful in the extreme. And even though my order was wrong this time (I've just ordered an Ibanez acoustic and a Yamaha Magicstomp, but the Magicstomp was the electric version, rather than the acoustic version), things have been sorted out without fuss and straight away and a new Zoom acoustic processor should be with me in the morning apparently. I think it was more a mix-up in the exact description of the item rather than anything else.

What's more impressive is the fact that, without asking, you always put a few extra's in the box for your customers. Two cables, three plectrums and a strap. I realise these cost you next to nothing, but it just finishes off the whole 'customer care' thing that I'm talking about, and is always a pleasant surprise. Next time if you could slip me a PRS in there it would be most appreciated. A CE24 will do. I'm not greedy. ;)

That's it really. I haven't written a complimentary letter for many years now but just thought I'd let you know, and whoever pays the wages that I'm more than impressed with the level of service that's been given on both of my purchases so far and I'll definitely continue my shopping with Merchant City Music, despite you being at the opposite end of the country to me.

Dear ALL at Merchant City Music,

I would like to extend my thanks to the whole team after taking delivery of an Ibanez RG350 DX that my wife bought from you as a present for me. The guitar was ordered on Monday 10th April and arrived LESS than 24 hours later on Tues 11th April. The packaging was unmarked, which is a credit to the courier you use, and the guitar was flawless when opened. The Guitar had obviously been set up prior to despatch as it was perfectly in tune when I tried it (again, credit where credit is due) and less than 3 hours after receiving the guitar I was using it at a gig.

I would recommend your company to ANYONE wishing to purchase a musical instrument from you if this is the level of service you provide.
