This bit of bass kit has excellent tone shaping controls. The Laney Nexus SL features a single ECC83 valve. This delivers  high dynamic range with plenty of warmth. The twin power amp sections deliver 2 x 500 watts. This is plenty of power for performance and rehearsing. A built in compressor lets you fine tune your input volume and playing weight. Another excellent feature of this amplifier is the inclusion of T-USB. It turns the Laney Nexus SL into a computer interface. This lets you record directly into your computer. When you combine this with being able to re-amp your original dry signal it makes recording easy.

Effects, Connectivity, DI and Silent Running.

The Laney Nexus SL includes some powerful effects. The SPACE function lets you dial in reverb to your sound if you turn it anti-clockwise. Turning it clockwise brings in chorus. Interval and Focus controls work together. Interval can add an octave above and below your signal. It also has the ability to add a 5th above your signal. The Focus control lets you change which part of your sound is harmonised. The Nexus can be plugged in using a DI. There are three options with this. Output, Post or Pre. The head can also be used for silent recording. It can be safely operated without needing to connect it to a cabinet.
