Laney have been making guitar amplifiers since the '60's. Lyndon Laney played in a local band in the West Midlands in England at this time with legendary Led Zeppelin duo John Bonham and Robert Plant. "The Band Of Joy", as they were called at the time was a fairly loose outfit and Robert and John went on to bigger and better things. At this time Lyndon Laney's attention went more and more towards guitar amp construction. Working in his father's garage, he started to get demand from fellow musicians for amplifiers. Taking a year out from his Electronic Engineering Course, Laney decided to continue to build amplifiers. He is still doing it, 40 years later!
