From the Randall Diavlo series comes the Randall 40C. A 40 watt all valve (or "all-tube" if you're from across the pond!) electric guitar amp combo.

Randall RD40C Diavlo Tube Combo

The Randall RD40C is a 2 channel all valve combo with four 12AX7 preamp valves and two 6L6 poweramp valves. These tubes give this amp the classic Randall snarl through the 1x12" custom-voiced Randall speaker! The amp features a straight forward and functional layout. Both channels on the Randall RD40C share a three band EQ, presence control and master volume. The clean channel features its own gain control and the overdrive channel has gain and volume controls. The Randall RD40 features a footswitchable Boost control which adds a layer of tube overdrive to both channels. On the rear of the amp you'll find a control for the built in Spring Reverb. Here's you'll also find the footswitch socket, effects send and return and extension speaker outputs. The Randall RD40C comes with a two button footswitch included which allows you to change between each channel and kick in the Boost function.

If Randall are best known for one thing it has to be crushing high gain sounds. The overdriven sounds on the Randall RD40 do not disappoint. Modern, tight focused high gain sounds are on tap and at any volume. There are also cracking sparkling clean sounds on offer with plenty of headroom. Dial in a touch of reverb and the Randall RD40 impresses with its clarity. The RD40 also excels on the gentler overdriven sounds. Whether you're pushing the clean channel over the edge or roll back the gain on the overdrive channel, you will be rewarded with a fantastic gritty blues or rock tone.
