One of the first humbucker combinations to be given the Custom Shop treatment. The Seymour Duncan Antiquity JB and Jazz set of pickups with Zebra finish are sweetened with age. Harmonically rich they are articulate with plenty of clarity. Sustain rich and hot-rodded they work well with both clean and overdriven tones. The aged Alnico 5 magnets add a sweetness to the tone. The JB in the bridge position pushes the upper mids helping it to slice through the mix. The Jazz position humbucker is warm and articulate. A perfect partner to balance the set. The Antiquity Custom Shop Versions in Black feature the same material and construction used in the 70s. These include a long legged nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, original Jazz and JB model stamp, rough sand cast alnico 5 bar magnet, heavily aged butyrate bobbins, and vintage style push-back braided single conductor lead wire. Seymour Duncan have used an ageing process to deliver the look and sound of the original creations.
