Squier

Squier Guitars are made by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. Fender built Squier Guitars were introduced in 1982 as lower cost models. This was a direct result of new emerging competition from Japan which at that time had lower production costs. Fender reached an agreement with several musical instrument distributers and established Fender Japan. Squier Guitars have slowly evolved and production has moved from Japan to other Asian countries.
