Randall Amps

Randall Amps are an American builder of guitar amplification. Created in the 1970s by Don Randall, a former Fender president and marketing guru. In fact, Don Randall is a bit of a legend. In partnership with Leo Fender, the most influential name in guitar history, he steadily built up the Fender brand. He also coined the names for classics such as the Esquire, Telecaster, Broadcaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass, Twin Reverb, Bassman. Basically some of the most well known and loved guitar products in history! Not a bad CV then.

Randall Amps, solid state specialists

Although in the 1960s most guitar amps were valve drive, Randall decided to go down the path of innovation and technology. Randall Amps were founded in 1970 with the aim of creating some of the finest solid state guitar amps you can buy. Based around a solid state circuit rather than valves they continue along this vain today. In 1990 Randall Amps were sold to US Music Corp. This partnership lasted for five years until 1995. They were then bought by Washburn Guitars. Washburn then renamed their operations US Music Corp. 2010 brought more big changes to the Randall Amps ownership. US Music Corp were acquired by JAM Industries. Formidable Heavy Metal guitar amp specialist Mike Fortin was then hired to develop a range of powerful guitar amplifiers. He worked to develop a amplifier for Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett.

Thrasher, RD Diavlo, RG and Signature Series Guitar Amps

Randall Amps now have a pretty comprehensive range. Their main ranges include the Randall Thrasher, RD Diavlo, RG and Signature Series. Although their amplifiers cover a pretty wide spectrum of sounds, Heavy Metal remains at their heart. These guitar amps take no prisoners! With high gain madness they have something for every budget. The build quality of Randall Amps is impressive too. They are built to last.
