The Blackstar Artist 30 is a tube amp with 2 6L6 power amp valves and 2 ECC83 preamp valves.

The sonic make-up of this amp is an unusual mix. A very usable hybrid between England and the USA. The Blackstar Artist 30 features a 6L6 design. A very dynamic setup. Blackstar have cleverly added British Class A shimmer and chime to it as well. It has two separate channels. One clean and one drive. These channels are foot switch-able with an FS4. This amp is all about simplicity and quality of tone. As with every Blackstar Amp this one comes with an ISF control. It shifts the emphasis of the mids in the sound. An excellent tone shaping feature. Controls are kept to the essentials other than that. These are Bass, Middle, Treble and volume.

Effects Loop, Reverb and an emulated output.

The Blackstar Artist 30 comes with a built in reverb control. Just adjust the control knob to add reverb to your sound. A very usable emulated output is included with this amp. Great for when you need to record directly. Also handy for plugging into a PA system rather than miking up. An effects loop also features in the Artist 30. This is ideal for guitar effects such as delay and modulation when you don't want them in the front end of the amp.
