So you have an amp that just needs that extra something to get the extra punch and drive for a really high gain sound for your guitar. Well battery power is not the way to go, the limited power and inconsistent delivery of tone simply doesn't cut it when you are looking for the best possible sound. As a mains powered pedal The Blackstar Amps HT-BOOST ensures no dynamics are lost when the output is boosted and aligned to a proper valve based tone section with frequency cut and boost the HT-BOOST delivers quite a punch. The HT BOOST is the technical equivalent of your amp being fitted with a more powerful pre-amp stage, as if 2 super fat sounding valves were added in line to the system. The HT-BOOST is just as effective as a booster for the clean channel to add some crunch or some distinctly different tones to the clean channel from the overdrive channel of your amp, or even think of it just as valve tone controls for your clean channel by keeping the boost control low down.
