Delivery Information

We like to think of ourselves as mail order experts here at Merchant City Music. We have over 20 years of experience in sending guitars and associated products all over the world. We take just as much care over packaging our guitars as we do on the initial setup and inspection. You can be rest assured that your order will arrive safely and ready to use straight away.

Our website accepts orders from the UK and most of Europe. The easiest way to check if we can accept an order from your country is to add your desired item to the basket and click on the "Check out with PayPal" button. Select your country from the drop down menu and click on "Get Shipping Options", this will show you the cost for delivery and update the basket total.

If your country is not listed do not fear! We can deliver anywhere in the world at very competitive rates, all you need to do is contact us with your order request and we can handle your order via email. Products shipped outside of the EU will have the UK's 20% VAT removed from our advertised prices. We ship with DHL Express or UPS for orders outside of Europe.

We offer free delivery on most or our larger items to the UK mainland. If a product does not qualify for free delivery, an estimated delivery cost is shown on the product page based on shipping cost to a UK mainland address.

Saturday delivery can be purchased from the Shopping Basket page and is an extra £20

Charges are per order, NOT per item, so no matter how much you order, it costs the same!

How do we deliver?

DPD

Goods are sent on a Next Day (Monday - Friday) service for delivery anytime from 9.00am up to 5.30pm (UK-Mainland Only). All orders (except strings and small accessories) are shipped by DPD and are insured against loss or damage until signed for by you.

All orders placed before 12 noon are dispatched same day, for next day delivery. Orders received after 12pm on Friday are not dispatched until Monday morning and therefore will normally be received on Tuesday.

This is NOT a guarantee of a next day delivery since circumstances with the courier company can cause delay, which would be out of our control. No deliveries are normally made on a Saturday or Sunday, although Saturday delivery can be arranged for an additional charge of £20.

All items on the order will normally be shipped together. It is advised that you inspect the items for damage before you sign for delivery.
If you are not at home when the delivery driver calls on most occasions a card will be left to advise you of the parcel number and phone number to arrange another time of delivery. Please contact Interlink direct in this instance.

DPD will attempt 2 deliveries - after this, the package/s will be returned to our warehouse and you will be credited for the cost of the goods but NOT the shipping charges.

If any items are damaged in transit we require to be informed within 24 hours of delivery, either by email or by phone, quoting your order number

Royal Mail

Most string and accessory orders are dispatched by Royal Mail. We have found this to be the most efficient and cost effective method of sending smaller packages.
We have found that most packages dispatched before 12 noon get to their destination the next day although please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

Can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email from us showing the dispatch method and a tracking number if applicable. Orders sent by DPD can be tracked on the DPD Local website, just enter your consignment number from your email in the Tracking box.
