The BOSS SY-300 Guitar Synth is a great way to explore new sounds. By doing away with the need for a dedicated MIDI pickup it simplifies things significantly. You won't have to switch guitars. The SY300 has analog style polyphonic synth tones. There is also zero latency. You get 70 ready to play patches and 99 user patches. This lets you store your own custom built sounds. As it also features USB you can archive the sounds on your computer.

Polyphonic synthesis engine.

Featuring three separate sections the polyphonic synthesis engine lets you really explore. The Boss SY-300 also comes with a step sequencer. This can be controlled via tap tempo. There is a huge range of parameters that can be used to sculpt your sound. Wave shapes, filter, amp and pitch controls let you tweak things. Four simultaneous effects engines are on hand too. These include drives, Slow Gear, Isolator, Slicer and others. At the back of the SY300 is plenty of options for connectivity.
