Fender Lead II and III

Fender's original Lead II and III models were released in the late '70s and early '80s to meet demand for more accessible guitars and new sonic ideas. The latest models meet the brief with aplomb, building on the models' cult following established over the ensuing decades. Available in either the twin single-coil layout of the Lead II or twin humbucker layout of the Lead III, both feature a second toggle switch which opens up new tonal possibilities. On the Lead II the second toggle reverses the pickup phasing; on the Lead III it activates coil splitting.
