Fender

Very few brands, let alone guitar brands, are as recognisable and ubiquitous as Fender. This is the company which invented the first production electric guitar - the Telecaster - and, from there, went from strength to strength with models such as the Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar and Mustang. These guitars are all still in production, built in Fender's facilities around the world, from California to Japan. When it comes to bass guitars, Fender is equally pioneering. With the original Precision Bass, the world of music was transported from reliance on tradition upright bass instruments to the current status quo: bass guitars as wieldy and comfortable to play as a six-string guitar. Not only does Fender produce guitars and basses, the company has built some of the world's best-loved guitar and bass amplifiers, such as the Blues Jr. and Hot Rod Deluxe. The company also has a growing and very successful range of acoustic guitars.

It is testament both to the strength of Fender's original products, and to its constant innovative drive, that the company remains the go-to guitar brand for a huge number of musicians. Here at Merchant City Music we are very proud to have one of the biggest selections of Fender guitars and basses in the City of Glasgow. We stock everything from the more affordable Player Series, to the California-made American Performer and American Professional series'. We're also big fans of Japanese-built Fenders. These have always been hard to find in the UK, made, as they were, predominantly for the Japanese market. More recently, Fender has recognised worldwide demand for these very special guitars, which offer unique specs and beautifully exacting build quality. As such, we have been able to expand our offering, and now stock a good range of Fender Made in Japan (MIJ) models.

As with all the guitars and bass guitars we sell, every Fender which goes out the door is first subjected to a rigorous check-over and professional set-up by our dedicated guitar technicians. This ensures that the Fender Guitar you receive from us will be playing its very best, and will often be perfectly in tune when the box is opened. As well as offering expedited worldwide delivery, we host customers in our large, airy Glasgow showroom, and are always happy to advise prospective customers on the Fender options available.
