The Breedlove Oregon Concert E Myrtlewood is a 12-string electro-acoustic guitar, lovingly handmade in Oregon, USA. Myrtlewood is Breedlove’s favourite tone wood, growing as it does in their home state of Oregon; it is well known to exhibit a wide range of figuring patterns, brought about by the harsh weather which batters the Pacific Northwest coast.

Included in the price are high end discreet LR Baggs electronics and a deluxe hard case. Now available from Merchant City Music, online and in our Glasgow store, buy from us to experience our peerless customer service experience and speedy delivery to the UK, Europe and worldwide. Every guitar we sell is rigorously checked over and professionally set up before dispatch.

Breedlove Oregon Concert E 12-String Myrtlewood With Stunning Figuring

The combination of the myrtlewood top with the Breedlove Bridge Truss allows for the Oregon Concert 12-String to create a symphony of music to fill any room or concert hall. With the asymmetrical headstock equalizing string tension, the Delta pinless bridge making it easier to change strings, and the bridge truss lessening overall string tension, the Oregon Concert 12-String is one of the easiest to play and best sounding 12-strings ever.

Body Shape

The Breedlove Concert is the original Breedlove shape. It first appeared in 1992, and has been the best-selling Breedlove body shape ever since. Designed specifically for the fingerstylist to be well balanced, compact, and comfortable to play, it generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The unique construction also allows the Concert to sing even at a full strum. If you’re a fingerstylist, or are seeking an instrument to use as vocal accompaniment, this is the shape for you. The Concert is engineered to provide exceptional sustain with a pronounced bass response, both of which can be achieved with a light touch.

Breedlove Neck

Breedlove guitar necks feature a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. Unlike traditional dovetail neck joints that require major surgery for a neck re-set, it is easy to adjust the play action and neck angle with the Breedlove bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish contributes to ideal playability – the finish process alone takes three days, including precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.

Asymmetrical Headstock

The asymmetrical headstock is featured on CM, Concert, Auditorium, and 12-String body shapes. This headstock isn’t just a pretty shape – it’s specifically designed to keep the strings in a straight, even line from the nut to the tuning pegs. The result is even tension, stable tuning, and ease of alternate tuning.

Back and Side Woods

Myrtlewood, umbellularia californica, formerly oreodaphne californica, originates in the western United States in Northern California and Oregon. Myrtlewood offers a strong fundamental with a powerful voice. Similar to maple, it has a clear and bright voice with superb projection and sustain, and offers a full and balanced sound. A versatile non-traditional tonewood, it is a favorite for many styles of playing. Myrtle has very unique and widely varied figure – no two sets are alike. Coloration ranges from blonde to taupe.
