The combination of a Shawbucker humbucker in the bridge position and two Fender USA Vintage Stratocaster single-coils in the middle / neck results in superb tone and versatility. Limited Edition Fender Made in Japan Stratocaster HSS in Silver Sparkle with Black Headstock

There’s always a sense of the forbidden fruit with Fender’s Japanese-made instruments. Only a few have been built with the European market in mind; even fewer are released to Europe, having been built as production models for the Japanese market only; and rarest of all are models such as this: Japanese market-only limited editions, released to the EMEA in very small, one-off batches.

Boasting stunning build and finish quality, this Silver Sparkle Fender MIJ Limited Edition Stratocaster HSS - complete with Black Headstock - is a guitar for a star! Like most Fender Japan models, it comes with a “U” Shaped Maple neck, which feels very comfortable in the hand. This is decked with a modern 9.5” radius Rosewood fretboard and medium jumbo frets - a versatile arrangement suitable for a wide range of styles.

The pickup configuration is similarly adaptable, with Fender’s Shawbucker humbucking pickup in the bridge and two Fender USA Vintage Stratocaster single-coils in the middle and neck. This HSS configuration is a real jack of all trades, and the quality of the pickups fitted makes it a real treat here. The 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo with Vintage-Style Stamped Steel Saddles is classic Strat, facilitating the range of string-bending techniques which have made this model a hit for over 60 years.
