This Limited Edition Fender MIJ (Made in Japan) Traditional ‘60s Telecaster is presented in Lake Placid Blue with Rosewood fretboard. The Tele’s second decade of production saw it solidify its place as not only the first production electric guitar, but also the most enduring; in the ‘60s, it remained the axe of choice for seminal artists in a vast array of groundbreaking genres.

This particular guitar combines the look and sound of this period, with a versatile 9.5” fretboard radius ensuring approachable playability. Compulsive build quality and attention to detail - present on all Fender’s Japanese-made guitars - makes this model a highly desirable proposition. Supplied in a Fender Gig Bag.

Fender MIJ Limited Edition Traditional ‘60s Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue

It’s no exaggeration to say that Fender’s MIJ models are consistently among the very finest guitars we have in stock. Even today, with increased availability in the West, supply is more patchy than with models produced in, say, North America. Combined, these factors produce a range of guitars for which our staff have a particular soft spot. This is only increased with Limited Run models such as this Traditional Series Tele, of which only a handful will reach the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

This guitar’s foundation is an American Basswood body, imbuing it with a lightness and musicality which suits the Tele perfectly. To this is bolted a “U”-Shape Maple neck, topped with a 9.5”-radius Rosewood fretboard for intuitive playability. The two Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele pickups provide period-correct tones, controlled via a 3-way selector switch.

A 3-Saddle Vintage Style Tele with Threaded Steel Saddles has been fitted for authentic Tele tone, while the looks are straight out of the period too: the gloss Lake Placid Blue finish has been painstakingly applied, matching perfectly with the Mint Green pickguard.

The Limited Edition Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue is your ticket back to popular music’s seminal decade, executed with all the precision of Japan’s finest luthiers.
