This Japanese Jaguar arrived in to us from Fender with a very small finish issue on the upper horn (see pictures), hence we are selling it at a discount. It is still brand new and covered by its full Fender warranty so a great opportunity to grab a bargain! This highly limited edition 2023 Colleciton Fender MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jaguar is presented in a 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Fender's Made In Japan models are beautifully built and a delight to play; this guitar is no exception. Being a Traditional Late ‘60s model, it combines the feel and sound of a Jaguar from this golden age in Fender's history, coming with pearloid block inlays to the fretboard and a slightly wider fretboard. The unique Special Run colourway ensures that it stands out from the crown while it does so!

Fender MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jaguar Special Run in 3-Colour Sunburst (B Stock)

The Fender Jaguar was first released in 1962 as a premium model, designed to lure guitarists away from Fender’s biggest rival. Original ‘60s production Jaguars now sell for considerably more than their original asking price, which is where this MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jaguar comes in. Designed to emulate the feel and sound of the original, it also benefits from the latest in guitar and pickup technology, resulting in a more reliable instrument than ever before. Built to the tightest of tolerances, this guitar exemplifies why we grab every opportunity to stock Fender MIJ guitars; they are truly world class.

Like the Mustang, the Jaguar features a slightly shorter scale length of 24”, giving it an easy-playing feel which also endears it to guitarists with smaller hands. The ‘U’-shaped neck is slightly chunkier than Fender's standard "C" neck profile, making it perfect for those who prefer a neck they can get a good grip on. The traditional 9.5" fretboard profile is perfect for a range of styles, from surf to indie rock, while the Jaguar's sophisticated circuitry allows it to adapt to these diverse musical settings tonally too.

The MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jaguar Special Run has a Basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard - a tonewood combination which combines perfectly with the twin Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jaguar pickups. The looks are right on cue too, with the Special Run 3-Colour Sunburst finish.
