The streamlined design is now lighter than ever. The G7th Performance 2 Capo is 52g as opposed to 76 g of the original. The one complaint with the original was it could sometimes make light weight acoustic guitars neck heavy. The development of Performance 2 sorts that issue. There is no compromise in other areas either. It is positive and solid. The reverse clamp works a treat. It works more as a wrap more than a clamp. It can be tightened by hand. Most clamp style capos have no adjustment at all. They just clamp. And when you aren't using it, simply clamp to the headstock.
