An Electro Acoustic Guitar features a set steel strings with the inclusion of a pickup system. This is very useful if you are playing in a live situation and you need more volume. Electric Acoustic Guitars comes with a wide range of pickups fitted such as piezo (under saddle), microphone and magnetic. All produce different sounds. Some even have built in pre-amp systems with active electronics.

Although you can retro fit a pickup system, buying a guitar with one already installed will save you some cash. If you spot the guitar of your dreams and it doesn't happen to have a pickup do not fret! We would be happy to install the pickup of your choice into the guitar of your choice in our Glasgow shop. Generally the best way to save money is to buy and acoustic electric guitar with the electronics already fitted.
