A solid mahogany body has been fitted with a flame maple veneer top. An Amber Sunburst finish on the top looks the part. A mahogany neck has been set into the body. The Hagstrom Super Swede features a 25.5 Inch scale length. This longer than your typical set neck, mahogany electric guitar. What this does is brighten the tone slightly for more cut. It also gives you a little more space on the fretboard. Sustain is also excellent on this guitar. The fretboard has been created from Resinator. This is a composite material that delivers the feel and sound of Ebony with more consistency. The Hagstrom Super Swede also has some great tonal options. The 2 Custom 58 humbuckers are wired up to a three way switch. Not only that but this left handed model also features a mini toggle switch. This acts as a coil tap to get single coil type tones.
