The Ibanez FR800-CAM is part of the Ibanez FR Series of electric guitars. Focusing on simplicity and playability, the FR800 features a simple single-cut mahogany body with a bevel for a sharp look. A pair of hand-wound Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbuckers are controlled via a three-way switch and are given an extra level of tonal variation thanks to coil tap. The roasted maple Wizard neck is lightning fast and feels fantastic.

The Ibanez FR series emphasises focuses on refined simplicity, a philosophy ably demonstrated by this FR800 model. The Mahogany body balances physical comfort with richness of tone. From here, the FR800 radically departs from tradition: The thin Wizard neck offers a level of fingerboard performance that Ibanez players have raved about for decades. The Roasted Maple used for the neck is highly stable and less susceptible to atmospheric and humidity changes.

In terms of pickups, Ibanez have opted for a pair of Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbuckers. Hand-wound in UK, Aftermath pickups deliver accelerated bass response for tracking high-speed staccato riffing, with increased focus in the mids, and superb high-end articulation. A coil tap switch adds an extra layer of sound and tonal variation for both pickups. Other outstanding hardware includes Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads. These achieve incredible tuning stability, cutting down string-changing time.
