The Larrivee 00-03 is an acoustic guitar with a slightly bigger body than a Parlour, constructed from all solid woods. With a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, the 00-03 has a 12th fret body join and full 25.5” scale length. Larrivée 00-03 Recording Series Guitar

The Larrivee 00-03 is a smaller-bodied instrument with a 12th-fret neck to body join and scale length of 25.5”. Placing its tonal emphasis on the mid-range, this guitar has a fuller low end than a parlour but tighter and more composed bass when compared to a big-bodied guitar such as a dreadnought. The 12th fret join places the bridge in the optimal position to fully exploit the Sitka soundboard’s tonal capabilities. This results in touch-sensitive tone which particularly lends itself to fingerpicking, with a balanced sound across the fingerboard.

The OO-03 features ebony headplate, fretboard and bridge, with a bone nut and saddle. Combined, these components maximise the guitar’s resonance transfer from strings to body, as does the company’s signature handfit dovetail neck joint. Multi-strip purfling adorns the top, while the whole body - including the fretboard - is bound in maple. The pickguard is finished in Larrivee’s signature tortoiseshell. Simplicity is also the key with the fretboard - punctuated by white dot fret markers - and headplate - a simple inlaid Larrivee logo with no binding.
