You don't need to be a Steve Lukather fan to appreciate his signature guitars. Every MusicMan guitar is a superb instrument, epitomised by this Luke model. The Music Man Luke 3 HH has a wonderful organic tone that is superbly musical and versatile. Newly designed custom Ernie Ball Music Man humbucking pickups offer more clarity, sustain, and a wider range frequency response.

The LIII also has a trick up its sleeve. A Custom Music Man active preamp gives a 12db gain boost with a push of the volume control. This extra boost is incredibly transparent and just allows for that bit more volume when you need it without colouring the awesome tone. The pickups are wired to a 5 way switch giving a great selection of different coil combinations from all four coils in series and parallel. Some cracking 'stratish' sounds to be had!

The neck on the Luke 3 BFR is one of this guitar’s best features. Made from Figured Roasted Maple, it is drop dead gorgeous and offers supreme feel and playability. The neck shape is a soft V which sits so comfortably in between your thumb and index finger. The gunstock oil and hand rubbed special wax blend used to finish the neck just adds to the overall feel and enjoyment.

The superb Music Man Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo bridge is fitted to the Luke III BFR and is factory set up to Luke's specification, allowing the wildest of trem tricks. We are happy to set up this guitar with any gauge string you like and to your specification.
