With the Pro Series Custom Balladeer, Ovation has brought production to the heart of Europe, all with the aim of providing the build quality and performance demanded by professional guitarists. Key upgrades have been added for European-built guitars, most notably the US made, Deep Contour Lyrachord GS Body. Combining a player-friendly, ergonomic shape with greater air volume, this body notably improves tone and projection. High grade AAA Sitka Spruce has been used for the soundboard - the engine of the guitar - providing rich tone and immediate response.

Befitting this high end model, Abalone inlays adorn the fretboard, rosette and body binding, for a rich, upmarket look. The 5-piece Mahogany and Maple neck is topped with an Ebony fretboard, while US made DR Dragon Skin strings provide warm, long-lasting tone. Ovation’s OCP-1K pickup and OP-Pro preamp with tuner ensure reliable and accurate amplified performance, while an Ovation soft case with 20mm padding provides ample protection between gigs.
