The PJD St John Standard is here presented in a Trans Blue finish with F Hole and Swamp Ash body. The bolt-on neck is constructed from Quartersawn Roasted Maple, topped with a compound radius Indian Rosewood fretboard. Two Cream T pickups provide the sonic clout - an Eliminator humbucker in the bridge and P90 in the neck - while quality Gotoh hardware is used for the bridge and tuners. Supplied in a PJD-branded Hiscox hardcase, the PJD St John Standard is hand-built in the UK to a very high standard.

PJD St John Standard in Trans Blue - Handmade in the UK

The PJD St John Standard is the “stripped back” version of the company’s St John model, with a simple aesthetic defined by its transparent open-pore nitrocellulose finish. Beautifully hand-built in Yorkshire, the St John Standard features a chambered swamp ash body, here paired with a matching swamp ash top. We love how the grain of the ash shows through the finish on this guitar!

The neck on the St John Standard is constructed from quartersawn roasted maple, with a custom neck profile based on a standard "C" shape. Combining the purification benefits of roasted maple, with the superior strength of the quarter sawn cut, this neck is highly stable with outstanding resonance transfer. It is topped with an Indian Rosewood fretboard with compound 10”-12” radius, allowing seamless chorded playing at the nut, as well as intuitive string bends further up the neck.

In terms of pickups, this particular PJD St John Standard has been fitted with two Cream T pickups - an Eliminator humbucker in the bridge and P90 in the neck. The bridge pickup is a pure classic rock humbucker with vintage output. The neck pickup has that fatter single-coil output beloved in soapbar pickups, suiting the St John’s chambered ash body perfectly.

A 42mm bone nut, Gotoh Hardtail bridge and Gotoh Vintage-Style tuners complete the package, ensuring the hardware quality meets the standard of the guitar itself. The St John Standard is supplied with in a PJD-branded Hiscox hard case and comes with a PJD certificate of authenticity.
