Originally launched in 2016, the Reverend Billy Corgan model won Best In Show at NAMM that year, and has garnered an even stronger popular following since. The collaboration between Billy and Joe Nayor resulted in a unique electric guitar loaded with Billy's own Signature Railhammer Humcutter pickups.

The Reverend Billy Corgan plays like butter and is sonically versatile thanks to the completely silent P90 voiced Humcutters from Railhammer. The raised centre section of the body with thinner wings and strategic chambers under the pickguard add resonance and reduce weight, while a string-thru body bridge provides maximum sustain and percussive attack. Railhammer Billy Corgan Signature Pickups meld P90 snap with humbucker chunk, and no hum! And, finally, the body is topped with a segmented aluminium pickguard for a modern, yet timeless look. Billy Corgan Signature with Roasted Maple neck

Roasted Maple is heat treated at over 300° F to remove sugars, moisture, and impurities. This maple is lighter, more stable, and has a beautiful caramel color. The result is an exceptional maple neck that will require less seasonal adjustment, and boasts a rich vintage look! Locking tuners and a slippery Boneite nut means tuning on this guitar is incredibly stable.

Upgraded electronics

The BC1 features the new Pure Tone Jack socket. This is an upgraded jack by Pure Tone Technologies. A standard jack has single contacts, but the Pure Tone jack has dual contacts for improved grip, audio signal and reliability. The most dependable guitar jack available with a satisfying 'clunk' when engaged. The Reverend Billy Corgan Signature has a treble bleed circuit, preserving the treble when you roll back the volume control. When you roll back a standard volume control, the tone loses treble and becomes dull sounding. Now you can turn down and still sound great!

Reverend now use Alpha control pots with a +-10% rating. While a typical pot is +-20%, these pots are built to tighter specifications, making them more consistent. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars, but standard issue now in all Reverends. Capacitors have also been upgraded, they now use caps with a +-10% rating, while a typical cap is +-20%. Reverend caps are made to tighter specifications, so they’re more consistent. Made of polyester, they’re also longer lasting, and less affected by temperature than cheaper ceramic caps.
