Reverend Matt West Signature Outfield Ivy with Dark Roasted Maple neck

Matt West is a ferocious guitar player from the Welsh punk pop outfit Neck Deep. His signature guitar perfectly complements the bands raw aggressive sound. Based on the Jetstream Platform, the Reverend Matt West model features just one 9A5 pickup in the bridge position. This is a new Reverend P90 with Alnico magnets for a warmer more vintage vibe. It still offers plenty of bite and percussive attack when playing with distortion. The tight low end is also helped by the use of a reverse headstock. This particular Matt West Signature features a Dark Roasted Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard. The reverse headstock means the thicker strings are under more tension. This helps give it that great rock rhythm sound and leaves the thinner strings easier to bend. The excellent Wilkinson WVS50 IIK Tremolo is employed to allow plenty of tremolo and dive bomb effects. Tuning is kept perfectly stable thanks to the locking tuners and slippery boneite nut.

The Ivy Green Reverend Matt West Signature offers plenty more than just rock tones, however. The pickup is wired through three controls; volume, tone and bass contour. The sounds on offer when rolling back the tone control and or bass contour make this an incredibly versatile single pickup electric guitar. Lovely bright cleans and warmer jazz tones can easily be dialled in.

As is with all Reverend guitars, the Matt West Signature is expertly crafted to an amazingly high standard for an instrument at this price point. It is road ready and perfectly setup making it effortless to play. The solid offset Korina body is medium lightweight and perfectly balanced. And it looks fantastic with the Outfield Ivy finish and brown shell pickguard. This latest version features lots of nice upgrades that Reverend have been adding across the range. A new etched jack plate and neck plate. Newly designed string tree and upgraded electrical components. Best of all is the sumptuous roasted Maple neck!
