The Reverend Robin Finck Signature is a brand new-for-2020 artist model, produced to service the needs of the Nine Inch Nails and Guns ’n’ Roses guitarist. Presented here in a cool Ice White finish, the Robin Finck Signature uses the Sensei as its foundation. From here, the fretboard has been upgraded to high performance Ebony, while the controls have been adapted for Finck’s preferences. Railhammer Chisel pickups provide amply thunderous tone. The guitar you are buying here is identical to the instrument used on stage by Finck, not something every brand’s production artist models can claim! Were Finck’s personal guitar to be stolen on tour, he could walk into Merchant City Music, grab this one off the wall, and carry on uninterrupted.

Here at Merchant City Music we are extremely proud to have been a specialist Reverend dealer for many years. We always have a huge range of Reverends physically in stock, making us a go-to shop for Reverend fans worldwide. Each one is given a comprehensive check over and professional set up before it goes out the door. If you have an address - virtually anywhere in the world - we can ship one to you, fast!

Reverend Robin Finck Signature in Ice White - Two Railhammer Chisel Pickups, Customised Controls and Ebony Fretboard

With their intoxicating mix of phenomenal quality, outstanding playability, standout looks and world class tone, Reverend guitars are winning over a rapidly growing number of guitarists. Robin Finck, one of few guitarists to have played in two top-100 hard rock bands, is now one of them! Finck’s signature Reverend has been honed into a stage weapon, with simplified controls doing away with a tone control (superfluous to the artist’s needs). The control knobs have also been upgraded to vintage pedal-style knobs for improved stage visibility. High performance ebony has been used for the fretboard, and Railhammer’s heaviest pickup, the Chisel, is fitted in both bridge and neck positions.

As with other solid body set neck guitars in Reverend’s line up, the Robin Finck Signature Guitar’s body is carved from Korina - an acoustically resonant, yet lightweight tone wood. The 24 3/4” scale set neck is also constructed from three pieces of Korina. Guitars of this type are renowned for being heavy, but not this one! Korina is both outstanding acoustically, and much lighter than mahogany: the best of both worlds.

To the body are mounted two Railhammer Chisel pickups. These are the most aggressive pickups in the Railhammer range, perfect for heavier rock and metal. Possibly the most groundbreaking pickups currently available, the patented Railhammer design is the brainchild of of Reverend's Chief Designer, Joe Naylor. Joe discovered that wound strings responded better under rails, resulting in tighter and clearer lows. Conversely, poles worked better under the unwound strings, fattening up the sound and giving punchier, soaring trebles. He combined the two, and Railhammer was born. Oversized pole pieces ensure that there is no drop in signal, even under aggressive string bends. The Chisel is the meanest pickup in the range, rapidly gaining popularity as a mod in non-Reverend guitars.

BASS CONTOUR CONTROL, KORINA BODY AND TOP SHELF COMPONENTS

In addition to a three-way switch and volume control, you also get Reverend’s secret weapon: the Bass Contour control. This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. Testament to the usefulness of this feature is that Finck dropped the tone control, but not the Bass Contour! It truly transforms the guitar’s sound, injecting a dynamism to your playing which will leave you wondering how you did without it.

The Robin Finck Signature in Ice White comes with a 12” radius Ebony fretboard. The 22 medium jumbo frets are beautifully finished, allowing the action to go nice and low without buzz. The overall result is a slick-playing feel, ready to crush your leads!

Undoubtably one of the key features which suits Reverend Guitars to the kind of heavy use inflicted by professional guitarists is the quality of their components. Reverend uses top shelf hardware and electronics. The Pure Tone jack socket features dual contacts for much improved reliability compared to standard sockets, which only have a single contact. A treble bleed circuit is used for the volume control, preserving the trebles when you roll back the volume. Reverend also uses 10% Alpha control pots and 10% polyester capacitors. The tighter tolerances (most pots and caps only have a 20% rating), result in much improved consistency and reliability. Reverend’s outstanding locking machine heads are a joy to use and virtually eliminate string slippage, as well as making string changes a cinch.
