The Reverend Sensei HB Faded Burst is now better than ever!

This guitar is one of the more traditional instruments that Reverend build, but It has some pretty unique touches that you wouldn't normally find on a guitar at this price. The Reverend Sensei HB Flame Maple has a solid korina wood body for a start. A gorgeous flame maple faded burst finish really makes this instrument stand out. Korina is normally a wood found on boutique and expensive solid body electric guitars. It is harmonically rich and resonant. The set neck design has also been created from three piece korina. The twenty four and three quarter inch scale length stays true to the set neck design. The twelve inch radius of the Reverend Sensei HB paired up with medium jumbo frets is supremely comfortable. Especially when you factor in the medium oval neck profile.

Solid body electric guitar with upgraded hardware for 2018/19

The Sensei has always enjoyed Reverend’s outstanding build quality, as well as some pretty amazing hardware. Reverend have taken it to the next level with this latest model, however. The pickups have both been upgraded to Reverend’s latest Joe Naylor-designed HA5 Humbuckers, which feature Alnico 5 magnets. The bridge pickup is wound slightly hotter than vintage for extra drive and punch. It is warm but open with excellent clarity. The neck position humbucker is slightly underwound, also offering exceptional clarity, with relaxed mids. As well as having your normal tone and volume controls you get a bass contour. It lets you roll off a particular bass frequency. Great for a more percussive sound. It adds another level of versatility to this guitar. Locking tuners and a dual action truss rod also feature.

Other upgrades for 2018/19 include a Blackwood Tek fretboard - a sustainable and highly musical alternative to rosewood. The new Boneite nut offers more consistency than natural bone, also reducing friction for more consistent string bends and better tuning stability. The pots and caps have been upgraded to a +-10% rating for more consistency and longevity, while the jack socket is now a Pure Tone part, with dual contacts for improved grip and audio signal reliability. Finally, the jack plate has been upgraded to Reverend’s new four-screw plate for a more secure body mount. It is also laser-etched with the Reverend logo - a subtle visual cue to the substantial upgrades going on below!
