Warwick German Pro Series Corvette SS 4 Flame Maple Burgundy Red Transparent Satin

The Warwick GPS Corvette $$ 4 Special Edition is a high end bass for the discerning bassist, now with the added exclusivity of a Flame Maple top to its US Swamp Ash body. Its 34” scale Ovangkol neck is topped with a beautifully figured Wenge fingerboard. This is fitted with 24 Jumbo Nickelsilver frets which benefit from Warwick’s Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT). The IFT system allows for fret installation with great precision and consistent quality. Compared to traditional fretting techniques, the fret slots are not cut across the entire fingerboard. Instead, two millimeters of wood remain on each side. This results in a U profile which increases neck stability against twisting and improves the transfer of vibrations into the instrument.

The Special Edition Warwick GPS Corvette $$ 4 is fitted with two MEC MM-Style humbuckers, controlled via Active MEC 2-way electronics. A 2-band EQ is operated with four knobs: Volume (Push/Pull); Balance; Bass; and Treble. The push/pull function on the volume control allows switching between EQ on / EQ bypass modes. A further two 3-way mini switches allow each pickup to be set up in series, in parallel, or as a single coil.

Other unique features include Warwick’s Just-A-Nut III nut, which allows minute action adjustments at the nut end of the bass’s scale. The 2-piece Warwick Bridge is also fully adjustable, with the result that the player can set this bass up to their exact requirements without visiting a luthier. Warwick security locks ensure confidence on stage.
